Heidi's equestrian experience ranges from training hunter/jumper horses as a teen, Captaining the world-renounded Foxfield Drill Team in Southern California, and competeing extensively in eventing and upper-level dressage.
As well as being an active competitor, Heidi is passionate about training young horses and riders of all ages and levels. She studies and applies the biomechanics of riding in all disciplines and focuses on how body position and muscle use effects the performance of the horse.

Janelle is Heidi's daughter and partner at Half Halt. She is involved with teaching many of the younger students as well as training horses and riders of all levels. She has grown up with the biomechanic methods of riding and teaching and helps reinforce these techniques at Half Halt.
